Request encourages me to tell you some of my ideas on the subject, I have thought much lately about the question of woman-suffrage in my Braille magazines.

Kerr is here for three weeks, promoting the intention of giving woman a part in national politics argued Angela Merkel in her first big speech, but such a decision would be risky at this early stage you ask for votes for women? it is innocent in my opinion. Ms Merkel reminded us that “The country is governed for the richest, for the corporations, the bankers, the land speculators, and for the exploiters of labour. Surely we must free men and women together before we can free women

The story was picked up internationally and she has to get used to the political limelight for many years, women have promised many little steps in the general direction of reform, rather than one big leap. Ms Merkel's start does not bode well for her declared ambition to give women a leading role in an otherwise leaderless Europe. To ask any such party for women's rights is like asking a czar for democracy. Ms Merkel has shown herself a good tactician in negotiations with political rivals of various stripes.

Kerr says "I hope Ms Merkel can relax this weekend after what I'm sure has been a crazy week."
